I am trying to modify the CreateUser wizard, for now it will have the same two steps as the default (initial and completed) but I want to add some extra fields to the first phase and based on that I would decide to create or not.

 So I know I should click on the control and select a task to convert it to a template. With the Login control it was easy as there was only one template, or at least it was clear which one to use.

The CreateUser wizard however has a lot of templates and I don't know which one I should use to modify the first step (create):

- Convert to StartNavigation template
- Convert to StepNavigation template
- Convert to FinishNavigation template
- Convert to CustomNavigation template
- Customize CreateUserStep
- Customize CompleteStep

So, which one? I just need to add a few extra fields to the first step. At a later stage I may want to add an extra wizard step.

I had already read the first article several times, the 2nd was new to me and found it a bit more useful.

Sadly both authors missed the point and therefore my question is not answered yet :( I suppose that happens when people work with something for a long time they seem to forget those crucial steps that make the difference between confusion and clarity.

In both articles they jumped from the standard create user wizard to a templated version without mentioning WHICH of them they used.

A 1280x1024 resolution is not enough these days. I noticed that if I expanded the Properties subwindow some new tasks suddenly appeared! normally you would get the impression those that were listed were all because there was no indication that the list continued.

 Anyway, there I found the "Customize CreateUser step" which is just what I needed.
