I would like to add a button to my page that allows a user to make my page their homepage by only pushing a button. I am not sure how to write the javascipt to implement this and I would also need to know how to activate the javascipt function by pushing

replace "hash" of href to "#"

I got your code to work on IE, but as far as I can tell it doesn't work on any other browser, but I greatly appreciate that as now I have a better understanding of how to do these kinds of things. If it should work for more browsers I am pasting my code
directly from the page and maybe someone can spot the error. If it helps solve the problem the button is being used on

Thanks for showing how to do this with a link. I'll probably use it sometime in the near future on another project.[:)]
