As a Administrator, I click any of an inactive ad (who was already expired) to active it again. But it will be activated only for a one day or so!
Next day, it must be activated again and next day ...again and so on...! How can I activate the ads as an Administrator for a longer period as I want to wish!
The second problem is: As an Admin to activate any of your own ad, you need to select the Category, rewrite the description and other selectable points and after these couple of minutes, you have the chance to save it again!
Normally you must be able to relist the ad with one click! Why it does not happens! As a guest you have no problem! But lots of waisted time as an poor "Administrator!".

I don't have the code in front of me right now, but I think this has something to do with the expiration date set for that ad.

I am going to have to look into this furthur, but it sounds like you actually click the link of the ad you wanted to activate instead of selecting the ad and click active from the dropdown.
Go as Admin and try to change the status from the Admin Page all inactive or expired ads also from other users ... You can try with these Dropdown menu to actvate them! At first step, it is looking ok. At this moment, you can choose the featured items without
any problem. You will see all of them in the featured items window. It is possible to search these activated items too. But afterwards (1 hour or so!) You will see, that you did nothing.. You will get very interesting ads who they need to be activated again!
I tried to do this with several new created admins also! No success!
Newly I posted a new web site to another destination and sql server! I will try now to get the answer!
I tested the new web site without accomplishment. The same problems with an expired ad are going on! These few words explaining something : Admin is not admitted by the classified SK.!
Before you upload your ClassifiedSK to a hosting service and server , delete your setup Administrator and working users and example ads from database and web.config. Upload your site and register a new user as guest and give him admin rights. I think it
is better, when you stay behind of the scene as Admin to control general procedures and configure for you another user with guest rights for posting ads!.. Is it true?
Did you ever get a resolution to this one? I have over 50 ads that I want to keep active. You are correct.......you reactivate the ad and 1hr. later they are all gone again. Any suggestions?

If you think about it, the kit is doing exactly what it is suppose to do. At some point in the kit, it looks to see if the ad expiration has passed. If the expiration has passed, set the ad to inactive. If you don't like that, then you need to find and
change the code that sets the ad to inactive based on the expiration date. I haven't look at the kit in a while so I am not sure which file this is in.
Good point Voodoo but what if a users wants to extend their ad? I feel where you are coming from though.
I made a few changes to my kit. From what I remember, the user has the option to "re-list" their ad. Does it not update the expiration date? If not, I guess this is a bug.
