is there any other technique to parse the word document file
For example i want to extract the name, phone number, emailid
skill sets, from word file and place it into the respective textboxes how it is possible?

Which version(s) of Word are you using/supporting?
Running Word on a IIS server is not a good idea as it is designed to run on a client PC not on server.

I am using MS WORD 2003 and I want to convert the file from Word doc to XML
on the client PC itself.
Actually I am designing a parser to parse the Resume which may be either in
The logic with which i am trying is . (1) First convert the original file (e.g DOC /PDF) to XML
(2) Then convert the XML file to HR-XML, which is then easy to parse.

As I asked Swati, with what version of Word are you working and in what environment? If your environment is a web site / web application or web service then please start a new thread on this site otherwise if envirnment isa winforms application, please ask
