SQL Access from the internet

Hi , Our company has a website hosted on the intranet and the database server(MS SQL 2005) for the same is hosted within the same intranet .We are now planning to host the website over the internet using some third party web hosting service. The problem that we are facing is that , due to several reasons we will not upload our database on the third party server. Is it possible for the website to access the database if the database server in on our company's intranet (which has a internet connection but not a static IP address) . Are there some sql tcp/ip forwarding service providers (not sure if the technical naming is correct) who will forward the database connection requests to our database server ???? PS: i have got the idea from the exchange server, we have a exchange server on the intranet but still we can access it over the internet by using some third party forwarding service ... can the same concept be applied to the sql server ????

Just got of the phone with godaddy and apparently the only way to get full trust is by using "ASP.net 1.1"

extra "/" Issue

Hi friends, I have a problem with extra "/" in my url. The scenario is as follows. my orginal url is http://localhost:1936/OCMS/Bugstatus.aspx In this case it loads properly. When I append extra "/" at end then url becomes http://localhost:1936/OCMS/Bugstatus.aspx/. Then the pages reloads, but images are not displayed and alignment of controls have problems. But when i append "/" to a url that have query string value appended there is no such issues, the page loads properly. For example http://localhost:1936/OCMS/Bugstatus.aspx?client=100/. what may be the problem . please help me .....

hi , i got a problem while hosting my application,i have developed a project in asp.net 1.1 version and another project in asp.net 2.0 version , i want 2 keep the second application in the first one which is developed in c#,previously it worked fine but the server got virus and we formatted that one but am not able to browse the application which is developed in asp.net 2.0 and am getting error as http 404 the file directory is not found i have given the correct path still am not able to browse it, and the other one is working fine...i hope you can solve my problem ..thanks in advance.............

how to deploy the extended starter kit of classifieds on discountasp

Hi there,

I hope any of you could help me out on this. I developed my site based on the extended starter kit of classifieds by yousaid. The website runs perfectly on the local server but gets error once hosted on Discountasp. Below is the error message i got. I'm trying to deploy the extended starter kit of classifieds to the host server of discountasp. What changes should I make to get it work.

For example, how to change the connectionstring. This is the one in the kit.

Also, i followed this article. http://community.discountasp.net/default.aspx?f=25&m=10797

If anyone could provide me a step-by-step instruction on how to deploy the extended starter kit, that would be really appreciated.
