Same Footer for every report

I have reporting services 2008. we have same footer text for all of our reports.

Is there any way I can have a file and use that file in every report so when I need to modify I can modify at one place and dont have to go through every report?

Please help

Positioning the footer to always be at the end of the page

Hi,
I have a SRS report which contain header text, a body and footer text.If the report is just one page long then the footer gets displayed correctly, at the bottom of the page. However if the report is more than one page long then the footer get printed where the report body ends on the next page. So some times the footer gets printed in the middle if the report is just one and a half page long. is there way to ensure that the footer always gets printed at the end of the page no matter where the report body ends on the page.

How to sum columns?

I have a simple table report.

I have several columns with numeric value.

CH=Column Header

CH0 CH1 CH2 CH3 CH4 CH5 CH6

I know how to sum a field for all the rows.

I know this can be accomplished by query but I just want to know if there is a possible way doing it via report.

report document ignores dataset

I have a crystal report file named summary.rpt. I'm using MS SQL Server 2005. Now everytime i tried to preview the report, it ignores the dataset which has the filtered records. It displays all the records in my table. I suspect it has something to do with the construction of the crystal report.

Here's my piece of code

SqlCommand SOcmd = new SqlCommand(SQLQuery, CN);

            SqlDataAdapter SODA = new SqlDataAdapter(SOcmd);
          DataSet DA = new DataSet();
          SODA.Fill(DA);

            ReportDocument rep = new ReportDocument();
            rep.FileName = Server.MapPath("summary.rpt");
            rep.SetDataSource(DA);
            rep.Refresh();
            CRViewer.ReportSource = rep;
            CRViewer.DataBind();

I have an asp.net web application and I need to generate Reports from that application. I don't want to use the Crystal Reports and Database for reporting.

What would be the other best solution for this requirement?

1-I generate Word Documents for reports

2-PDF Documents

Disable Pop-Up blocker to print report

Hi All,

I'm developing an AJAX-enabled web application. In one of my pages, I try to export a report to PDF format. I don't show the report on the web page, I just export it directly to be printed.

However, if I do this directly from my page, it won't work because this is not compatible with AJAX. So, I made the print button to open a pop-up window (by using the window.open javascript function and calling it from server side.)

And at the page load of the pop up page, I export the report. However, the problem that happens is that the pop up page closes immediately after being opened. I tried to disable the pop up blocker in my IE8 but this didn't work.

Any help is really appreciated.

I wanted to make following type of report, please help if you can... i write down my examplary requirement to make it easy for you to help.

Support I got to show report of all my products under their relevant categories. so output would be simple like below

Cat1

--Product2

Cat2

--Product3

--Product4

and so on.. but tricky part is and where i got stuck: if i wanted to show special products as well which some categories would have and some may not with their own header like below.

suppose cat2 has special products which cat1 doesn't and not even cat3

Cat2 Sepcial product section is dynamic, so i didn't get my job done by simply making anyother groupheaderband and place controls on it.. kindly help and if possible suggest some walkthrough/tutorial which has implemented this sort of requirement.

Consolidated Reports in ASP.NET 2

Hi there

We have an ASP.NET 2 application and at the moment for the reporting, we are utilising DataSet/DataTable taking from some storedprocedure/query and display on the screen (single page) as a grid. For the graphics report, we are using Dundas Chart component also the user be able to download the graphs again we are utilising DataSet/DataTable heavily.

Now, we are having a challenge that every single report that we produce (grid or graph), the user wants to consolidate into 1 single click solution which if the user click the "Consolidated Report" link it will produce the report one a single page only (graph and grids)

How we are going to achieve this?

I am thinking to do as follow:
1. Convert everything to use the Ms Reporting Services .. or
2. Is it possible to do like convert the grid/graph into Word/Excel into a single page? Is there any other solution?

The issue is that the one every single report we are using have simple stored procedures to get the data source out and then we are using that data and do the massive data manipulation in DataSet/DataTable (Loop through the DataSet/DataTable and get particular record and construct again to new dataset/datatable etc etc etc) and to construct the report and display on the screen.

I am appreciated your comment.
