Well basically my cms contains a page title and a body and the user can edit the page body in the cms app so in my seperate application (the user's website) when I called the body text from the DB I would use a replace command to change the /uploads/ to the full path of the cms app. After testing this is worked like a charm and I was well chuffed that I actually solved something on my own! Below is an example:

<asp:Literal ID="articleBody" Text='<%# Eval("PageBody").ToString().Replace("/uploads/", "http://cms.yourdomain.com/uploads/") %>' runat="server" />

That's basically it, now you will see the images on your seperate website application!

Sorry if this seems very simple but I spent ages trying to figure this out and thought I'd share it, happy to answer any questions!

Best CMS

Hello Everyone-

I am looking for a very good CMS that is easy for end-users to use. Here are the requirements:

Asp.net

vb.net

SQL Server 2005 or 2008

Lightweight

Easy to customize

scalable

Cost is a big factor as well. We had already purchased one, but have found that it does not meet all of our requirements and has not had adequate support, so a free one to get the project done without investing more money would be great!

I have gotten fabulous help from here before, so I look forward to everyone's input!

Thanks in advance!

Building CMS For News Portal

Dear Friends

I want to develop a CMS for News Portal Using ASP.Net, C#

and Sql Server, But I have not more Idea about CMS so i want

proper resources for building CMS

So Please suggest me how can i get these resources like

(Documentation, DFD, Any helpful Videos)

Thanks In Advance

Manish Chandra Kumar

Re: How to build a virtual web page?

Instead of walking down the path of creating your own CMS, why not use a free alternative such as http://umbraco.org/ where all this stuff have been tested by many users.

At this time, there is no longer any point in creating your own CMS from scratch unless you have some very specific issues/concerns.

Kentico CMS for ASP.NET Gets Enterprise-Class Search Capabilities

The
