Page rendering issue
Hi All, I have a problem with one page in one client site. The page downloads to just before the end tag of the viewstate and then stops. Most of the time it won't do anything after that, but occasionally it will complete after a couple of minutes. Now typically this page takes about 10-15 seconds to render on the screen from the time of request in other client environments. Now to go just one step further, the same page in on the same server is rendering fine if I VPN into the network. The does

Re: OmniPortal running on ASP.NET 2.0
Hi Nick, Yeah, I would love to get my hands on it. I am gathering a couple people in my User Group who wanna get going on updating the torontoug.net website and this seems to be the right place to start updating the code. Not only that but it get my butt in gear for learning the next version of .NET. So let me know where I can get it and what your strategy is for converting the OmniPortal completely to .NET V2. I just need to make sure we have the URL rewriting as I run 3 websites off my domain,

Re: [2.0] Where is everybody
Looks interesting, I will take a peak at where it is now, is there any particular spot that needs attention?

Re: [2.0] Where is everybody
Hi all, I would love to get back involved in this. I have been tied up for so long but things are freeing up and would enjoy a good .NET2 project. Sean Alexander

Re: [2.0] - Data Types
Looking at the whole data provider issue, have any of you looked at this article: http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp?url=/library/en-us/dnaspnet/html/asp02182004.asp It may provide a solution to using multiple base providers without modifying the bus/engine classes too much

Re: Looking for a sample Event Registration Application in .Net, c#
It's an older version of what I have now but look here: http://www.torontoug.net/Downloads/196.aspx It does both the agenda and event registration. I will be releasing a new one in the next couple of weeks that has event reminders and email confirmation built into the system. Sean Alexander

Re: Can I do the following?
Not to my understanding, if that is true then GotCommunityNet is in trouble. With that said, I don't think you will have any trouble as there are clauses specifying that you can use the code in other applications (think new assembly names) either free or commercial, just as long as the original license agreement stays intact (you can add your own as well but it has some restrictions....ie no GPL'ing the code) Hope that helps Sean
