Re: Copy reference by setting Copy Local = true
I am having this problem as well, but it doesn't seem that VS is copying the dll to the Bin folder. I am using VS2008 Pro and have a Website project that includes a suite of 3rd party controls. I added the reference to the controls by right-clicking on my website in Solution Explorer and selecting "Add References". Am I missing something or doing something wrong? Thanks.

Re: Copy reference by setting Copy Local = true
Just thought I would post that I did get it working. I simply copied the controls' dll to the bin folder and copied to my server.

Trying to publish project with 3rd party control
I am using VS2008 Pro and have a Website project that includes a suite of 3rd party controls. I added the reference to the controls by right-clicking on my website in Solution Explorer and selecting "Add References". I found the following in an older post, but it doesn't seem that VS is copying the dll to the Bin folder. In ASP.NET website project, there is not " Copy Local " option and Visual Studio will copy the dll to the Bin folder automatically when we add reference using

Re: IE6 - IE7 problem
Interesting issue. I replicated this exactly by putting a zero in the height property of a label control. Although I don't see that property set in your code, check the properties window for the label control and make sure the height property is blank.

Re: Make div 100% of tablecell (not working in IE) help!
What version(s) of IE are you dealing with? Is there a particular reason you need the div inside your table cell? To get this to work in IE will require some css hacks. What about using a nested table inside the TD? I know that isn't "proper" layout technique but it might solve your problem.

Re: Make div 100% of tablecell (not working in IE) help!
Thats odd, IE7 and IE8 should interpret the height directive correctly. Actually, I just setup your html on my machine and looked at the page in Firefox, Safari, IE6, 7, 8 ...looks good in all of those, meaning the table extends to 100% of the screen and the div extends the full height as well???

Re: Make div 100% of tablecell (not working in IE) help!
Oh, ok...well, you may be able to get away without using the doctype. It isn't something that is required, its just a way of helping you validate your html and a way of letting browsers know how you want your site to render. I would advise you to research doctypes and then make the call whether you want to use it or not. While removing it may solve this problem, it may or may not cause other issues as you continue building your site.

Re: New controls added but not listed in intellisense
I can create a new project, put a control on the page, and it works fine. Even in my regular projects the issue seems somewhat random...sometimes they work, other times they don't. I have yet to determine any common situations where it does or does not happen. Thanks for the information about the FindControl method. I was able to use it.

Re: New controls added but not listed in intellisense
No added software, and no compile errors. I can add a control, even do a build, but it won't show in intellisense. No matter how long I wait, build, rebuild, whatever...nothing works. The only way I have found to correct when this happens is to completely close VS2008 and restart. On a related note, I did figure out in one case I have controls inside other controls, and the inner controls don't show in intellisense. Is this correct behavior?
