  You were right, this was very helpful. I am having one issue though; I can not seem to pass the page number through from my aspx code behind page to the class with the data retrieval routine. Can you provide any information to help with that?

  The part I was missing was setting the new page index during the PageIndexChanging routine of the grid view prior to calling the CreateTable routine. Me.GridView1.PageIndex = e.NewPageIndex
