  True for 1, 2, 3. The default web page seems to point to someplace not indicated in its properties. (c:\inetpub\wwwroot) It is as if the default page is being rerouted. Yet I cannot identify a handler or module that is doing so. The IIS not installed message seems to be bogus. MVC is installed.

  Vista is Business 64. As I said IIS is installed and IIS 6 Compatibility mode is on. That is why the message is confusing.

  I am trying to run aspnet_regiis.exe -i I am using a Vista 64 box with IIS installed and IIS Compatitibility on I get the message: The error indicates that IIS is not installed on the machine. Please install IIS before using this tool.
