  Hi, I started all over again and setup the IssueTracker again. This time it worked, but i think i have already solved a lot of authentication and integration problems. That helped me a lot in this new setup Let me summarize what i did; In the previous setup, i chose an existing database, now i chose a fresh new one. I also gave-up SQL authentication and now i'm using Windows authentication. I faced a couple of minor problems but i solved them in an hour, so thats it ... A working Issuetracker

  I'm still at the same position. I debug a lot and realized that my app never tries to establish a connection with the DB server. (DB server, IIS and the app all are running on my local m/c). I suspect about the connection string first but whatever i put in the string doesn't matter. I stopped the DB services, same behavior. (When i click sign-in or register with some dummy values in username and password boxes, the app just refreshes the same page, do nothing else, no exception) For the connection

  I have downloaded the Issuetracker source code for the .net 2.0 from the following link; http://issuetracker2.codeplex.com/ This source code hasn't even got any global.asax.cs file. This solved the global.asax problem but now i have another problems. Seems i have a long way to have a working issuetracker.

  Hi, I have resolved the issues i have listed on previous posts. Now i have another problem. I got stuck on the login page. The symptoms: When i run the app, i get the DesktopDefault.aspx page and the login screen. When i enter user/pass it only refreshes the login page, gives no exception and don't let me go further. i tried to debug the app. I have found out that Context.User.Identity.AuthenticationType value is blank.   Yes, i have built the solution with VS 2005 and this is the error i'm getting (only one as of moment). I see only one dll file in the bin directory which is "ASPNET.StarterKit.IssueTracker.dll" and a .pdb file with the same name. The root direct for the project is set up as virtual directory in IIS.

  Hi, I have successfully setup and converted the IssueTracker source code on my Vista Premium machine. Now i have a build error saying: Error 1 Could not load type 'ASPNET.StarterKit.IssueTracker.Global'. C:\Program Files\ASP.NET Starter Kits\ASP.NET IssueTracker (CSVS)\IssueTrackerStarterKit\Global.asax 1 Well, i'm a bit unfamiliar with web programming. Any help would be appreciated. ps: I was getting the same error when i try to connect to the web site when i first install the IssueTrackerStarterKit

  Thanks for the suggestion. Let me summarize what i did; 1 ) The setup file is an .msi file so when i right click on it there was no "Run as Administrator" menu item in the context menu 2 ) I open a command line as administrator and run the .msi file but it gave an error yesterday 3 ) At the same time, i was turning on an IIS feature "IIS Metabase and IIS 6 configuration compatibility" on "Turn Windows features on or off". • Cannot setup on IIS 7.0-Vista Ultimate machine

  Hi, I'm trying to setup the issue tracker starter kit on a Vista Ultimate machine. When the setup comes to create the virtual directories part, it cannot see the default web site. So i stuck. Anybody have an idea on this? Is it because of the IIS 7.0 or am i missing some file system permission configuration that i should have set before the installation? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
