how to create a subdomain IIS
Hi, Hope someone could help me... The scenario is this.... i have a folder named "videos" which is located outside the inetpub directory. What i need is to map it to a subdomain named - videos.mydomain.com my question now is ... 1. how do you create a subdomain -> videos.mydomain.com 2. How do i link it to my videos folder which is outside of the inetpub directory i want it to work such as when i access videos.mydomain.com... i will be able to access the files in the video folder any

button goes to page_load first before to onclick
Hi, I hope someone could help me on my problem.... I have a button which is residing on ascx.... the function of this button is to save. When i debug the program and put breakpoints... and click on the button It goes directly to the page_load event of the page holder which is an aspx page... does anyone have any idea why this is happening... thank you in advance

Problem deploying published asp.net website project on hosting server
Hello everyone, I hope someone could help me.... I published my project using the build >> publish myproject on the visual studio 2008 menu.... If i run the published project on my local computer... it works perfectly... but when i upload it to the hosting server... i get these error Access is denied. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80070005 (E_ACCESSDENIED)) Description: An unhandled exception occurred during the execution of the current web request. Please review the stack trace for more information

is there a way without using batch file... the client should not need to do anything... only the server and the code

Thanks guys for the replies. but the scenario is this im using asp.net c# as my code. I have a section in my website that allows user to upload and download their files inside a folder in the inetpub folder in iis and it's uploading properly but the problem is that the files being uploaded in that folder is becoming very large and the application is being affected. what i wanted to know is that if i could have my upload function put user uploads on a folder ex: c:\upload_directory\ which is residing

Uploading and downloading files outside inetpub
Hi Everyone, I just want to ask if there is a way to upload a file on a folder which is not a virtual directory and outside iis on a server. And after upload can download that file from there also. Coding would be in asp.net c# Any help will be really appreciated.
