• Security is laid out really strange in 3.x

  I am sure there was some reason for making all the aspnet_xxx tables the way they are... But they are extremely hard to decipher in meaning. Is there some magic I am missing about creating Portals? I can create them just fine, but no one can login to them except the host. Even the host cannot update any user accounts and make any changes stick. I see similar questions being asked at least 3 times, but no answers. I have been trying to glean some understanding about what is going on. I am just trying

  I am having the same problems with 3.0.7 I can get in with the host pwd but any user I add can't be retrieved or logged in with. I tried cleartext too and searched aspnet_Profile, the account is there and it shows up in users, but no login and no retreived info in the edit user screen.
