asp:DropDownList
The first time I try to select a new item in the list it always reverts back to the original item and I have to select the new item again before it sticks. From that point on I can get my new selections to stick on the first try. Is there something I have done in this control's properties that keeps it stuck on the first try? Thanks, Ted

Re: Why does asp:net menu put itself in its own table?
Thanks docluv. I didn't know about those things. I added padding to the image on the left of my menu and squeezed the menu to the right. That works for now but I would really like to know why the asp:menu duplicates its container table around itself and around each of its items. I think it has to do with it being inside an asp:ContentPlaceHolder and that is doing something weird.

Why does asp:net menu put itself in its own table?
I have created an asp menu inside a html server side table cell. How come the compiler puts each menu item into its own table with the same properties as the container table it's inside? This is a problem because I want the menu to be right aligned inside its container cell but instead it mimicks the container table and positions itself in the center. My stylesheet tells my container table to be in the center using margin-left:auto and margin-right: auto. But I have told the container cell my

Re: Stylesheet background-image property not supported in Express Ed?
OMG it finally worked. Before this I tried (~/Images/star_field.jpg) which works with my sitemap and (Images/star_field.jpg) which works with html. The Style Builder also wrote out the complete path which didn't work either. Now the Style Builder created this and it worked: body { background-position: center top; background-image: url( '../../Images/star_field.jpg' ); background-repeat: repeat; } Thanks for your help. BTW I'm taking "Computer Sci Windows and Web Database"

Re: Stylesheet background-image property not supported in Express Ed?
Thanks. Yes that made the button work but the resulting code did not. The compiler refuses to provide the image in the background.

Stylesheet background-image property not supported in Express Ed?
I can't get this to work. I suspect this property is not supported in the Express Edition because the browse button that goes with the background-image textbox in the Style Builder does not work either. Can anyone help me with this? Thanks.
