  I explained (in detail) that I didn't have VWDExpress installed!! This error is a false alarm. I may have installed VWD in the past but if I did I uninstalled it. I have just installed VWDExpress and then re-ran SP1 for VS2008 for the fourth time (although when SP1 installed this time it didn't include VWDExpress in the initial list of the bajillion things the SP would be applied to). Repair still failed (same error about how VWDExpress is not supported and I need VWDExpress SP1). I crossed

I can't install RC2 because Beta is installed, and I can't uninstall the Beta because of an error, and the error causes it to rollback the uninstall, keeping everything installed.
