Re: Modalpopupextender - random page elements appear in front of popup (should be behind dark overlay, inaccessible)
I should also add that that this issue is ONLY occurring in the IEs, but not in FF3, FF2, Safari, Opera, Chrome.

Re: Modalpopupextender - random page elements appear in front of popup (should be behind dark overlay, inaccessible)
Ok, so this was a case of position:relative (CSS) on one of the many nested divs encasing the modules that were peeping through. Removing this style or setting position:static fixed the issue. Hope this helps someone else. Cheers!

Re: Modalpopupextender - random page elements appear in front of popup (should be behind dark overlay, inaccessible)
I know what z-index is, thanks, but that's not it. The z-index on the modal background is 10000, and the popup itself is 10001. It should be on top of everything else; there is no z-index set on the elements that are peeping through. Thanks anyway =)

Modalpopupextender - random page elements appear in front of popup (should be behind dark overlay, inaccessible)
I have dashboard/portal type site using DotNetNuke that contains several nested controls and modules. There are two popups that work perfectly, however two other popups work ok, except that several page elements (divs, images, etc) appear on top of the grayed-out overlay. I've seen a few posts about some of these elements having position:relative on them, but none of mine do. It's also weird that half of the popups do not act the same way. I compared the attributes on the modalPopupExtender

Re: CalendarExtender - Force 1st of month to display on FIRST ROW of weeks
if your requirement is special
It's really not that special. It's more common sense. I have seen no other Ajax calendar implementation that it does it like MS. They provide very little in the way of customization attributes.

Re: CalendarExtender - Force 1st of month to display on FIRST ROW of weeks
Lame. While jQuery's solution is beautiful, I've already lost that battle with my team and am forced to use the MS toolkit version. Once again, the answer to a MS toolkit issue is "use something else". Lovely.

Re: CalendarExtender, want only current month date visible
Another late response, BUT... this solution seems pretty hacky. If the first of the month starts on the day of the week that you have the calendar set to start with and you employ this style, there is ONE WHOLE WEEK ROW that appears blank. I can't believe that there's not a better solution to this besides changing the source code, which was recommended by an MS moderator in another post. Boo hiss!

Re: modalpopup weirdness
Can you post your code? What OS are you working on? Screen res? I have a similar scenario that IS working in IE7/IE6/FF/Safari - a user submits a form and while it's processing, I use a modal popup that displays ONLY an animated gif, no other markup. I ask about OS and screen res because I banged my head for a week trying to figure out why my modal bg was solid instead of transparent, and it turned out to be a Vista/IE graphics card issue when the screen res exceeded a certain spec...

CalendarExtender - Force 1st of month to display on FIRST ROW of weeks
I have a simple, out of the box instance of the CalendarExtender. How can I get it to start with the 1st of the month on the first row of days? For example look at how the demo initializes on the sample page: http://www.asp.net/ajax/ajaxcontroltoolkit/Samples/Calendar/Calendar.aspx It shows ONE WHOLE WEEK prior. I don't want that extra month; the user can hit the left arrow to go back if they want. I've checked out all the properties and tweaked the CSS, only to mess it up and have to reset
