Got it!!! Never mind guys... i am a fraking idiot. the problem was that my columns name were "First Name", "Last Name", and "Professional Title" INSTEAD of "FirstName", "LastName" and "Title". My query was never going to work becuase it wasn't grabing the right columns to create my query. thanks. now i'll work on the next step which it would be updating the fields in the GridView.

i've been trying to put this whole thing together using the Northwind database with the page that you gave me and i am receiving the following error message " Server Error in '/AccessSearch' Application. No value given for one or more required parameters. Description: An unhandled exception occurred during the execution of the current web request. Please review the stack trace for more information about the error and where it originated in the code. Exception Details: System.Data

Access Database Search
Hello everybody, first of all i would like to make clear that i am kind of new in programming in .NET language. i haven't programed in .NET since college... all i've been working so far is with PHP. so any ways... i am developing this website in .NET. it is a access database that is going to be accessed from the web. i am able to insert, update and delete records like a champion and with no problems. but now, i would like to incorporate some type of searching in to the database and the user
