Re: How to execute javascript after the page been rendered/displayed completely on client side.
You've no doubt moved on, but for anyone else that faces this: I had the exact same problem, parts of my page were not rendering before the javascript fired. What I ended up doing is creating a new ContentPlaceHolder at the very end of my MasterPage. Then on my content page I placed my javascript within this new ContentPlaceHolder section. This allowed everything to render before the javascript executed. Josh

Re: Datapager querystring and URL rewriting
Hi wchan07 I'm not having any success. I created a simple page with a ListView and DataPager, and set DataPager1 to use the querystring. Then I created a DataPager1_PreRender sub as you suggested. Ran the page, but the NavigateUrl of the page links did not change. To test this further I added a label to the page, then changed the DataPager1_PreRender sub to create a string listing the unique IDs of all the controls it found during iteration and then print that via the label. No IDs were returned

Re: Datapager querystring and URL rewriting
Hi wchan07 This looks promising. I'll see if I can get this working on my site. I'll let you know what results I get.

Re: Datapager querystring and URL rewriting
This will work, but it does not seem like the optimal solution. I'll be able to make the page work, but I'll still have the datapager creating URLs in formats I don't want. Is there nothing that can be done to control the URL the datapager creates for it's links?

Re: Datapager querystring and URL rewriting
I am currently using the free UrlRewritingNet control to rewrite incoming urls to my products.aspx page. Are you saying I can rewrite the URL created by the datapager before it is written to the page? I've played with that idea and can't figure out how to get that to work.

Re: Datapager querystring and URL rewriting
I'm not sure you got the point of the URL rewriting. Instead of displaying products.aspx?cat=somecategory&brand=somebrand the URL is displayed as products/somecategory/somebrand.aspx, but then internally the URL is rewritten to products.aspx?cat=somecategory&brand=somebrand. The datapager is adding the full querystring on top of the displayed URL, so when I click to change a page the URL is displayed as products/somecategory/somebrand.aspx?cat=somecategory&brand=somebrand&page

Datapager querystring and URL rewriting
I've got a page displaying products in a listview. The page uses URL rewriting, so that products.aspx?cat=category&brand=company is rewritten to products/category/company.aspx. I'd like the datapager to use the querystring rather than javascript postbacks. However when I try this the URL created by the datapager looks like products/category/company.aspx?cat=category&brand=company&page=2. Any suggestions on how to deal with this? Thanks Josh

Re: How to pass a value from a user control to the parent page?
The article ajaykhedekar referenced was very useful, especially the section on raising and handling events. That's something I've never done, but it fits really nicely with what I'm trying to accomplish. Thanks everyone. Josh
