can we not use the webadmin tool??
can we not use the webadmin tool and just create a custom login and registration.. actually its very hard for me to understand all the codes in asp.net particularly on the user role etc.. i want to have a different registration that will include the ff. UserId, UserName,Mobile, Email, Address1 Address2 etc.. and also to use visual basic code for the authentication and login using the if statements.. sorry to bother everyone. i really like asp.net because of the interactivity, also im use to classic

now im going back again.. the same old errors are circling around as i follow those steps.. sigh :( .. though some had work but the prob now is the GUID it return 0000-00000-000 sigh! it is really getting boring after a week of finding the solution.

i had found the answer with my last post.. http://forums.asp.net/t/969187.aspx?PageIndex=2 now im having this it wont update haha, im beginning to like this.. error, solve the problem another error, research been doin this for almost a week now can somebody give a link to a nice tutorial about asp.net :) thanks

it says to look at the properties for the ObjectDataSource and remove everything from DataObjectTypeName property and just leave that property blank; it will be RUN... but im this error now. ObjectDataSource 'ObjectDataSource1' could not find a non-generic method 'Update' that has parameters: DepartmentName, Description, original_DepartmentId. thanks

well that helps, i just need to understand how to do some programming in .net.. its really hard for me to learn a new style in web developing.. i need a lot of reading and resources on how to make a website using .net.. im still learning as much as i can and i wanna thank you for your effort but maybe i can understand all of your answers.. im still use to asp classic.. thanks again
