Re: SQLDataSource Problem in VSWD 2008
i searched a lot. but everywhere it is stated that not to use the fixed length size data-types in the database. like nvarchar. but i am getting 50 by default. i also tried to use the text datatype, as it dosent have any fixed size.. but this also dosent solve the problem. just before the insert paramater, i gave label1.text = apprval. even in the label it is showing properly, completely trimmed.. but after inserting, when i am checking the back end database table, there it is full of extra spaces

SQLDataSource Problem in VSWD 2008
I have a table with 3 columns, Program (nchar 500) Approval (nchar 200) Details (nchar 200) Here, I am filling the data in the “details” column by, SqlDataSource1.InsertParameters[ "further_details" ].DefaultValue = TextBox1.Text; And there are two lists: < asp : ListBox ID ="ListBox1" runat ="server SelectionMode ="Multiple" DataSourceID ="SqlDataSource2" DataTextField ="approval" DataValueField ="approval" ></ asp : ListBox
