Re: Setting a default value of a Listview InsertItemTemplate
Qin, Thanks for the suggestion. I tried what you said but I am unable to 'extend' .FindControl from .InsertItem. It gives me an error saying: InsertItem(bool) is a method which cannot be used in this context. Although I did try it without the .InsertItem (which I thought I tried before but maybe not) and it worked fine. So either way, I got the end result I was looking for. Thank You d(^-^)b

Re: Setting a default value of a Listview InsertItemTemplate
If I am correct this will only fire at the time of an actual insert being performed? I will give it a try and see what happens but I am looking to have the box already filled in when the page loads. That way the user doesn't have to change the value unless they actually want to specify another country for the person they are inserting. I'll report back my findings :)

Setting a default value of a Listview InsertItemTemplate
Scenario: I have a textbox that has a value in it when a user comes to a page (let's say a country). There is a Listview on the page that displays the people in or going to the 'country' (meaning they can be from the country or from another). The user wishes to insert another person into the list of people for the company via the InsertItemTemplated textboxes at the bottom of the Listview. How do I make the 'Country' text in the texbox by default be the country that the textbox

Re: ASP .NET version question (server related)
So the server people have yet to get back to me . . . How would I go about running my application in Full Trust mode and what steps would I need to do to get it running by itself (independent of ASP .NET version installed on the server)?

Re: Pass values to UpdatePanel.Load event
Is there any way you could post the code you came up with for this? I'm trying to do something similar and would like to trace through what actually ended up working. Thanks (^-^)b

Re: ASP .NET version question (server related)
Thanks for the reply and for giving me another option (which may have to be the option I use since my application is stored on a virtual server that hosts a number of other web applications.

Re: ASP .NET version question (server related)
The people that maintain our servers have reassured me that 3.5 is installed on the servers . . . but I am suspecting the same thing. I did verify that removing all of the Ajax components of the page makes all of the errors go away but leaves my page very bland. After thinking about this for a while I did a search for the question of wether or notyou actually need the extensions installed on the server or not. I found a page from the asp.net website that said you indeed didn't if you were using

ASP .NET version question (server related)
I searched for the answer to my 'Error: ASP.NET Ajax client-side framework failed to load' question but found a bunch of thing that didin't help me at all. So my situation is: I have VS2008 installed on my local machine which has Microsoft .NET Framework Version:2.0.50727.3053; ASP.NET Version:2.0.50727.3053 intalled (pasted from a forced error in my app). The web app runs 100% fine on my local environment but when it comes to running on the server it gets the error mentioned above. The

Re: CascadingDropDown with LINQ via a WCF Service
Thanks for the suggestion. So I tried to change my code to have a different return type like this: Public Function GetRegions() As AjaxControlToolkit.CascadingDropDownNameValue Dim dc As New ProgramsDataContext Dim lRegions = From Region In dc.Regions _ Select Region.RegionName, Region.RegionID Return dc.Regions End Function However, the IDE did not like this (let alone when I tried to build it). I am thinking this is a good step in the right direction though as I'm thinking that returning an
