  Hmmm, I spoke too soon. After downloading I'm still stuck. I must be missing something but when I looked at all the options for the installation process, I did not see anything for Client Tools ( Sql Server Management Studio ) to install for Sql Express 2008 ? Regards, LA Guy

  I had the same problem and I put this in my web.config ( different from yours ) <add path="Reserved.ReportViewerWebControl.axd" verb="*" type="Microsoft.Reporting.WebForms.HttpHandler, Microsoft.ReportViewer.WebForms, Version=9.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b03f5f7f11d50a3a" validate="false"/> If your using VS 2008 like me it's version 9 , if VS 2005 its version 8.   I just got this error and I changed the Reports / ReportServer virtual directory properties for the Application Pool from defaultapppool to the ReportServices pool. Restarted IIS , clear IIS cache and http://localhost/reports - finally came up !!! IIS7 , Vista Ultimate , SSRS 2005 Hope this helps someone, LA Guy

  Hi, Opening a website project initally crashes Visual Studio 2008. It's a Website project with .Net 3.5 with Ajax Toolkit Reopening VS 2008 and clicking again on the Project shows a problem loading open documents. "An error was encountered while opening associated documents the last time this solution was loaded. Document load is being skipped during this solution load in order to avoid that error."   Hi, I downloaded the MVC Demo yesterday and got the same problem. The web.config had references to the MVC assemblies version 0.0.0.0 of System.Web.Abstractions.dll and System.Web.Routing.dll. I removed the 3 DLLs from the References folder and readded them referencing the 3 MVC dlls in the \bin folder. Duh, this is what Rob Conery already said above ( I didn't quite get it ) .... MVC Store Bits threw me off .... Now to start understanding how to use jQuery / JSON with MVC. HTH, LA Guy

• Visual Studio Not Saving Opened Websites in Recent Projects

  Hi, Help, I hope this is not standard behaviour but ... When I File > Open > Websites and pick a website folder. When I close the project, the Website is NOT saved in Recent Projects window. Any ideas ? File > Open > Project / Solution Picking a .sln will show in the "Recent Projects" window.   Yep, after uninstalling PowerCommands for Visual Studio ( Vista Ultimate ) the Toolbox Choose Items no longer crashes. But, I want to use PowerCommands especially to remove unwanted projects. Is there a way to fix this incompatibility with PowerCommands ? UPDATE to this message: I just re-installed the PowerCommands msi and the choose items no longer crashes. Go figure ....
