store a regular expression in config file or some other file and have a value associated to it, and use it in code behind file.
How do i store all the regular expressions in a configuration file and use them in code behind file. i.e i need to store a regular expressions with some value associated to it either in config file or any external file . when i compare that particular regular espression with the input string it should return the value associated to it. ex: System.Text.RegularExpressions. Regex regex = new System.Text.RegularExpressions. Regex ( @"\d{1,}" ); if (regex.IsMatch(input)) return "integer"

how to parse a string and compare it to regualr expression.
Hey can anyone help me?... I have a situation, for which i have to parse a string given as input in textbox, compare it with the regular expressions already defined and display the result of what type of string is entered in C#. eg: if someone enter email id in the textbox i have to parse it and compare with the already existing regualr expression and display the result as the entered string is an email address. i will appreciate your help. Thanks and regards chandu
