Hi, Thanks a lot for the details . So from our all investigation we can conclude that Activex can only be downloaded and run through JavaScript using IE browsers .And we cann;t install and run an activex using any other webbrowser like Mozilla Firefox or GoogleChrome. Thanks ___Das

Hi, Can you go to the following URL in IE,Mozzila,Google chrome and try to download the plugin. http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/ 1) In case of IE if you click the agree and install now then it prompts the download and which is a standrad way of downloading activex a) If you analyse to see the sourse code then you can find the <object> tag associated with it. 2)And if you try to repeat the same steps in Mozzila firefox or Google chrome it prompts to save the Activex Exe a) And if you analyse

Hi, Thanks once again for replying to my post.I have also the same feelings about Activex but can you try acessing following URL using Mozilla FireFox or Google chrome. http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/ Here somehow they are able to download the activex.Can you help me so that we can find out a possible conclusion on it. I did some google search and found Mozzila has some NPAPI which does download the Activex and JavaSScript scripting. Thanks Das

Activex support in multiple browsers
Hi All, I have a standrad question about installing Activex plugin using HTML Object Tag as follows. <object classid='CLSID:A47C22B1-3CC3-45bc-801E-3FCC4FFD3E45' codebase='DownloadDeployer.cab#version=1,0,0,3' id='TestActivex' height='1' width='1'></object> This is working fine for all IE Browsers (IE 6.0 onwards),but i want to download the same activex using Mozilla firefox and google chrome,but it fails to show me any download prompt.How can i

Hi , That's what i did and then only i came to know that google tolbar is the culprit. But for client's prespective we can't force them to uninstall google bar to use our application . Thanks ___Das

Google bar affecting our webapplication
Hi All, I have a problem with my login page when google toolbar is installed , I have designed login page in JSP/HTML. In login page i have a remeber me password checkbox which is unchecked bydefault. If google toolbar is not installed then everything works fine.But user install google toolbar then all problems arises 1)If i login with a wrong password ,its not showing the error lebel .(Unauthorzed access try again). 2)And if i check the remeber me checkbox and log into my application.On next login

How to make a HTML window user interactive False
Hi I have a HTML window which has a button.When i click that button some request is posted to server and a please wait animation image is shown to the user . In this time i dont want the user to do anything with the HTML pop up window at the time of processing .I want the userinteractive false for this HTML window. Problem with Async thread CallBacks (Activex)
Hi I am having a hardtime with thread callbacks. I have a JSP page which has installed a C# Activex dll into client's local macine through HTML Objcet Tag. The JSP page contain a form which has a apply button on it.When i click the apply button two events are fired. 1) Show a image to clinet that Please wait .... its an animted progress bar (In this sample i have taken its a puma.gif) 2) Call the activex method Open() Now in Activex part when Open method is called it creates a async MethodInvoker

Hi The Activex is a C# class library which gets installed into clinets machne and invoked through JavaScript .After the DLL gets registered it is called by javascript While processing it sends XML content using HttpWebRequest and the server takes a lot of time to process the request and to send the response back at that moment the HTML is hanged. Any way i am still searching on freezing JPEG images on HTML. Thanks Das

Html Page hangs when activex is in processing state for a long period.
Hi I have created a activex in C# and hosted using JSP. In my Case when Activex is invoked through the JavaScript.It start posting request to server (XML content in HttpWebRequest).And the server takes a lot of time to process the request and send the response back to the server. I have a .GIF image on the Html called Please wait... (animation of a progress bar) When the Activex is waiting for the server response the Page/JIF image gets stuck and looks very odd like a white window.Which is quite
