  try this I'm not sure your using which framework but anyway try this hope will help if your server can't install you must copy folder from your local system Name with " Microsoft ASP.NET " its was in Program File copy all form Microsoft ASP.NET and then put in the same path on server Hope can Help

  if you want to run Ajax on that Server,you must install ASPAJAXExtSetup.msi download from this link http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=ca9d90fa-e8c9-42e3-aa19-08e2c027f5d6&displaylang=en on your Server no need to change any web.config only install AJax on Server Hope will Help

  not mean like that but ajax have different version for framework so if you want to do in Virtual Stdio 2005 its must be ajax 2.0 vesion cause you version that you install is not match version for framework Hope you will understand

  you must do in Prerequisites cause in WebSetup its has default prerequisites <must install framework 3.5 but you can manual its> so right click on WebSetup >>> Properties and find button that name Prerequisites Clear .NET Framework 3.5 Hope will Help
