  I am not certain but I it looks to me as if the correct namespace has not been imported. Don't know if that is it but I have had similar problems in the past and that has been the fix.

  To me it sounds like something might be wrong with your connection string. I don't think you should try to recreate the table or anything. Try to see if the SQL server service has somehow been shut down. If the process is running fine then try using http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=C243A5AE-4BD1-4E3D-94B8-5A0F62BF7796&displaylang=en (SQL Server Management Studio Express) to actually see your table and make sure it still excists.
