Re: Sample ASP .NET Project with coding standards
May be i did not get your question properly. APP_DATA is only for your application data like any .MDF file that use by any sqlDataSource. How you have plan you create src or other for folder. That is very much similar to your APP_CODE folder when you place a class it will place inside your app_code to make availabe for your whole application. it is very much similar to that. Let me know if i can give you any more help on this.

Re: Web and Word
I have done that long ago but i dont have sample with me . You have to use the MSWORD interop dll and you can read/write the file save to disk format the font put the logo etc.. all those what you can do inside a word. BUT THIS IS NOT A GOOD PRACTICE TO USE WORD DLL IN THIS WAY. see this post may help you http://sandedus.blogspot.com/2006/03/using-microsoft-word-and-asp.html

Re: ms access database backup
You can not do that by provide a hyperlink. But you can do by using sqldataprovider. Here is the link how to work on app_data http://aspnet.4guysfromrolla.com/articles/022206-1.aspx

Re: How Do I enable a hyperlink using the ASP Login Authenticate Event Handler?
The code is not telling much to me. If you can give a break point and see step by step you may come out with a problem what is happening and what has to done. Then only you can get a good solution with in few minute.

Re: loading screen while page is being redirected?
You can also do something similar that's a little simpler by just redirecting 'thru' a wait page. I've used this concept before: if you load a page in the browser, and in its body onload you redirect to another page, the first page will stay loaded on the screen until some response data is received. So as long as buffer=true, you could create a wait page and insert it into the flow: page 1 ---redirects to wait page ---via JS, navigates to page 2 ---a long-running page with buffer

Re: How Do I enable a hyperlink using the ASP Login Authenticate Event Handler?
is this line execcuting for you " hyperlink.enabled = True" step1 :- Make sure this line is executing by giving the break point. If it is executing then then the problem may be your page is not reloading after this line excution because of this you hyperlink enable properties is not getting set once again. let me know. -Nihar
