Re: uncheck read-only option for a folder
"if windows xp, I think you can use program unlocker, to check processes are assessing to this folder. " I am using Windows XP. Could you please elaborate? How do we check which processes are accessing this folder. I already stopped IIS so I'm not sure what else I need to do. Thanks.

Re: difference between ~ and / in file paths
Actually I meant html controls which do not have the runat = server attribute. For example, I have <img src = "..."> and when I use ~ it doesn't resolve the way it is supposed to. But found the solution.. http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms178116.aspx <img src='<%= ResolveClientUrl("~/common/images/spacer.gif")%>' />

Access html client side control in .cs page
Hello, I have an image who's source I want to set programmatically. Note this is an html control and it is a client side control. I plan on setting the path in the .cs file. But I'm a bit confused about how to access the control in the first place.. Page.controls("id").source = path? But that doesn't work. I worked with html before and I know I can do Document.GetelementByID("ID").src = ... but can I do that in the .cs file??

Re: difference between ~ and / in file paths
Seems like the ~ is an ASP.NET thing. Will this work when the website is run using different software like Interdev lets say?

Re: difference between ~ and / in file paths
Thank you! That makes sense. So this will not work on client side controls then? I suppose we need to use an alternative in the case of client side controls then.

Re: uncheck read-only option for a folder
Yes, but I already used the files to create a website in IIS. I closed everything now and still doesn't work.

Re: difference between ~ and / in file paths
Sorry I am confused! Please don't get me wrong.. I am not saying that this is not right.. but How can "/" refer to the the current folder???.. Right now if I do something like img src = "/test.jpg" and hover over the image while running the page I get http://localhost/test.jpg even if I am in a different folder. And if I do a img src = "~/test.jpg" it shows up as http://localhost/appname/current folder of the page that is being displayed. So I am totally confused
