• security in .net applications

  HI, I would like to know what are security settings in .net projects and why do we use them.Normally,when i did a web application i will do the security settings in IIS.I am doing anything wrong.Are they need to be done through .net application. Please give me some examples explaining security settings in .net using security class

  Ok NHOQUE,thanks for replying.What should be there in javascript function to make my listbox bind with the data filtered with the letter entered in textbox. I could only bind my list box using code behind.

  Thanks for replying.I am not very good at ajax.I know how to use a UpdatePanel. I am thinking of using a logic that when do a key press raises a javascript function which should call a code behind function.I don't know how to implement this.I am trying it.If you have any code how to use ajax control which u suggested can you please post.

• Keypress event for textbox asp.net

  Hi all, I am working on a application ,in which i need to implement some logic related to keypress event for textbox. My criteria is; on entering some letter in a textbox,without making the page a postback,i need to load some categories start with that letter in a listbox.I could do that by doing a filter to the listbox datasource. I thought on using ajax .But i am not able to find a keypress event for textbox. Can anybody help me how could i implement this logic.

  Hi, I am using a payment gateway in my application.Which will do recurring billing.So,every month when it deducts amount from the customer it will send email to us,if the transaction is successfull or not,if successfull what is the amount of transaction.So,my requirement is i want to automate reading of their emails and update the things in database.So,that if a transaction failed for a user,i want to lock him.I did a google search but it is doing using POP3 and MAPI ,i don't know exactly what

  I didn't place my application in IIS still.I am running with vs2005.I want to kow,why i need to use machine keys in my webconfig.I never did like this.Can u please let me know what is the problem in my code.
