Re: Requesting recommendations for Shared Hosting With Full Trust and for VPS Hosting
I have VPS with couple of hosts - KickassVPS (Virtuozzo) and SoftsysHosting (Hyper-V) and both are awesome hosts. I am using Kickass since long and SoftsysHosting since abour 3 months but I can attest that performance of Hyper-V VPS surpasses that of Virtuozzo and hence I am slowly migrating few VPS from kickass to softsyshosting. Also, if you want Windows 2008, you need to go for Hyper-V since Virtuozzo does not support it yet. With regards to your VPS queries: 1) RDP is available. 2) I am using

Re: Publishing a Full Text Catalog on GoDaddy
Interesting. Is there a functional reason that their 'shared ASP.NET' hosting plans do not support Full Text Catalog? Or is just to get more money from us?
I am not sure of reason for this as couple of shared/reseller host that I am using do support Full Text Search by default - Softsys Hosting and DiscountASP

Re: Noob question regarding hosting options.
As mentioned by couple of posters above, it all depends on your requirements whether you should consider going with a Shared account or VPS. I am having most of my client's websites on shared and reseller accounts (which are basically in shared environment). I also have clients who have high intensity websites with good amount of traffic and in those cases and I am using VPS for them.

Re: Looking for an asp .net / mssql server host
Hi guys, Maybe someone can give me an idea here. I am looking to create my own site ( cv , plus some code examples -C#, Javascript, maybe some database stuff as well - sql server 2005 or 2008 ). Can anyone suggest a cheapish , reliable host ?
I will recommend considering Softsys Hosting or DiscountASP for
