• Re: what happened to serversea?
Thanks all for replies. Jagsy thanks. I will check this, prices look very nice(+unlimited DBs). They sql server is on dedicated server or same machine?
Yeah, sql server databases are hosted on a dedicated server and not the same as the web server. Even the email and the dotnetpanel servers are dedicated. All the best!

  • Re: what happened to serversea?

Mr. Radic, I hosted my client's domain with Serversea with bronze plan + sql 2000 starting from 4/5/2006. And obviously for security reasons, I cannot put the domain name out in this public forum (I am sure you too won't put any of your client's domain in this public forum too if someone asks). And if you go through my post, I have answered to the best of my knowledge as I hosted with serversea but without any issues as the OP is facing. I was really happy with their service and cheap

  • Re: what happened to serversea?

Hello Umek, I was previously hosting my website with serversea and it was pretty good that time (around 1.5 years back). However, it was not meeting my needs as they are still with MS-SQL 2000 dbs and I needed MS-SQL 2005. I am currently hosting with Softsys hosting and it is working great for me for couple of my projects. You can get lots of hosting companies in $5-$10 / month like discountasp, wh4l, etc. However, I would recommend Softsys if it meets your needs. All the best,

Caro.net seems good but dedicated server with godaddy is a real big joke!

  • Re: VPS Hosting With Ultima Hosts

That is very good. But apart from the updating their sites with the above things, they have also updated the 'Upgrades section'. Previously it was "Additional Storage Space $10 / 20 GB per month" and now it is "Additional Storage Space $10 / 10 GB per month". Upgrade prices doubled in a day . Always keep your upgrade paths open as this should not block you as your need increases. Also the SmarterTools bundle is for only 50 sites and more importantly, you need to install

Hi Bonza, Welcome to ASP.NET forums!! It is really good to know that asp.net forums has helped you in finding a hosting solution for you. I just had a look at the Starter.VPS solution.. However, it says that DotNetPanel, SmarterStats, SmarterTicket and SmarterMail are at an additional cost of $30/month with limited number of sites (total $69/month for 10Gb hdd). Did you got it bundled in $40 a month? Is there a promo running? There is no mention of the cpu power you'll be receiving. Did you checked

  • Re: Amazing Low rates Asp.Net, SQL 2005 hosting plans here..

Hi Kilko, First of all, welcome to ASP.NET forums. I am with softsys and have been using them for couple of my projects. I am signed up with the same Gold plan and its rocking for me. The emails are 100% spam-free (based on my experience) and you need not worry about the same. The support has been pretty for me as they have helped me tremendously in tricky coding issues (i must agree that it was my faulty coding) too apart from hosting issues. I think, you will definitely be having good hosting experience
