i'm running up against the same issue where the dropdownlist becomes no longer clickable (aka. won't drop down when clicked). Does anyone have a solution or suggestions?

Re: Problem with a dropdownlist in an updatepanel in Firefox
I think I'm having the same problem. I have a dropdownlist in an updatepanel. Hitting the save button on my form causes an asyncpostback that refreshed the updatepanel. I click the dropdownlist to select a new option and it won't take my selection. It does not fire a postback or anything. Subsequent clicks on the dropdown prevent the it from well, dropping down. Only once I've clicked into another form element to change focus does the dropdownlist starting dropping down, but it will only

Re: Ajax Roadmap published
Sorry for the late reply, but I just remembered one other idea I had on my wishlist: Refactor the UpdatePanel so that is does completely suck to derive from. The whole ContentTemplateContainer makes everything a real pain in the butt. If there was a bas control like UpdateControl or an interface like IUpdateControl, like would be so much better for swapping content in and out. The you could make the UpdatePanel derive/implement that and expose the ContentTemplate and Triggers from there. I also agree

Re: Ajax Roadmap published
yaip - I couldn't agree more. People use ASP.NET AJAX because they use ASP.NET. I know you can use the library independently, but seriously, how many people are really doing that? The real power of ASP.NET is that it successfully straddles the learning/ability curve, allowing sites to be written using 100% design time GUI's and wizards or 100% code and everything in between. (Let me caveat that last statement by saying I do realize that nobody actually builds sites 100% one way or the other

Re: Ajax Roadmap published
Can we get back on track?! The point of this thread was to discuss WHICH items listed in the whitepaper people wanted to see in the future ASP.NET AJAX release(s) - NOT what sites use ASP.NET AJAX or who is on the dev team.

Re: Ajax Roadmap published
It's great to see that there's the plan moving forward is open for discussion. The Futures library has some great stuff, but there hasn't been much mention of when or how that functionality will be transitioned into the framework. Here are the things I'd love to see: DOM API Improvements Animations Drag & Drop High Level Controls - Async validator, upload, layout, and rich text box Thanks for listening!

Re: Is it possible to change static MenuItem behavior?
No, that's not helpful. I'm looking for a solution for either of the approaches I suggested.

Re: Is it possible to change static MenuItem behavior?
Sorry, I can't use the Css Friendly Adapters because when the menu is too long for the screen, it does not scroll the way the standard menu does. Our application is used frequently on mobile pc's that do not have a mouse wheel. Any other suggestions?

Is it possible to change static MenuItem behavior?
I am using an asp:Menu control for our site's navigation. The menu is fairly large, so there is some processing delay when users mouse over the static (top-level) menu items. Users have been complaining that if they accidently mouse over the menu and mouse out, the menu does not pop out immediately, causing clicks outside the menu to occasionally register on the menu. It's difficult to explain, but it's pretty annoying. I was hoping that there is an easy way to either: 1) Force the static

Re: Can a web application be configured to compile into multiple dlls?
Is it possible to configure that to be the default build behavior in visual studio?
