Hosting Web Services in Realtime
Hi, I am new to Web Services, and i am practicing the web services on my home pc. I want to know what is the method to host the web service in real time environment. At home i am hosting the web service using IIS hosting, but to do that, 1st i create a console host application, run the host, and create the proxy using web reference and then go for IIS hosting. Is that how it will be done in real time or is there any other method to host the web service after we come up with the contract. If possible

Re: IIS on Windows XP
Thanks everybody, but i found the answer for my question. Windows XP will have the file called sysoc.inf in which there will be an option to hide and unhide the "Internet information services" option. If we remove the "hide" for IIS entry from the sysoc.inf file then "Internet information services" option will show up in the Add/Remove windows components list. So by doing that i got the IIS option and i installed the IIS in my machine. Thanks GP

Re: IIS on Windows XP
I tried inetmgr, and also in the browser i also tried http://localhost , i know that IIS is not installed on my machine. More over there is not "Internet Information Services" component in the Add Remove Windows components list. I tried that, but it won't show me the Internet Information Services component in the Windows components list in the Add Remove programs. Sick, don't know what to do? Open for any suggestions which can resolve this problem. Thanks Go

IIS on Windows XP
Does any one know that IIS is available for download to install on Windows XP. Here's what my problem is. Admin removed the IIS component from the Windows XP operating system. (When i go and see in the Add Remove programs within windows components, i don't find the option for internet information Services, that's totally removed). Is it that i need to reinstall the operating system with repair option and once i get the IIS option, have to install the IIS server OR Is there any way that
