awesome! thanks a lot. Only thing though, to get this to work properly I had to remove the _- function ShowHideButtonOnProgress(){ -_ line from the top and the closing bracket at the bottom. Also, since I am using an UpdateProgress control on the same time, then I also commented out the _- prm.add_endRequest(EndRequest); -_ line, as otherwise it would not remove the progress message.

Re: Safari + UpdatePanel
try downloading the latest version of Atlas. I kept getting weird errors in safari and it fixed these issues. I have also found that firefox is pretty slow in refreshing pages. Opera is the fastest for the site I'm developing, followed by IE, then safari, and firefox last. I'm not sure whether it's an actual problem or it's something to do with the way i've written my code, or maybe it''s just my server is slow. I just thought I'd add that.
