• How to track calender days from editads.aspx

  Hi, I am buidling a site that use uses editad to allow advertiser to change adtype between available and out on loan. To further enhance the site I wanted to track how long the item had adtype of 'out on loan' and then multiply this by the daily rental fee captured in price column. This would then calculate costs owing for rental of the item when customer returned item. Any ideas or tips its a bit beyond my skill level!

  It has taken me 6 months to find a solution to this (thanks Dark Knight), the problem is in your Ads.vb please check send.email and reply to ad areas.

• Send Ad as email - force 'your e-mail' address

  After much investigation seems my host is blocking hotmail email etc. So, I want to force the 'your e-mail' address to be postmaster@plantup.com.au Can anyone advise how to force this email and prevent users be able to enter their own address. http://www.plantup.com.au/ShowAd.aspx?id=7

  What does not make sense is, respond to ad only works when used directly after I use send ad as email. Again, only if postmaster@plantup.com.au is used as from address.

  Very interesting, I tested my site www.plantup.com.au and seems that send ad as email works if I make sure I use from postmaster@plantup.com.au as per web.config. However respond to ad does not work at all, even with postmaster@plantup.com.au Below is my hosts response; The problem you confront is actually related to the smtp server setting,for most of the service provider today. It's a common sense to require you use the smtp authentication to prevent spam.And for us, the "mail.yourdomain

  Here's a funny thing, feedack below is correct from host below, I checked the log from the smtp server, the smtp setting in the web.config has no problem at all.The real issue is the senderaddress,please replace the senderaddress "dummy@hotmail.co.uk" to "postmaster@plantup.com.au" and give another try. AND IT WORKS? But I do not want to sender address to be stuck as just postmaster@plantup.com.au ???

  Switched off custom errors mode, but still can't see the true error problem for my e-mail.
