Re: Any free ASP.Net web host ?
You can also try http://freeasphost.net - they have free .net 3.5 hosting but do not include DBs on the free plan.

Re: ultimahosts.net didn't execute contract statements
I have used softsys myself for a couple of months and would recommend them as well. I would also note that last night there were two posts on the ultimahosts forums that were discussing the outage which were then deleted by UltimaHosts. Nice sense of priorities to delete forum posts rather than answering support tickets or fixing the server problem.

Re: ultimahosts.net didn't execute contract statements
Agreed that it is a shame. I liked them very much in the past but as I said everything has gone down hill this year. The main bad part (for me) is that I am on a yearly contract and am locked in for quite some time. I also agree on the server management point - they were not able to get PHP working on my windows VPS when clearly it is possible and done by many people but ultimahosts just throws up their hands and says "sorry too bad for you"

Re: ultimahosts.net didn't execute contract statements
I have to concur with rapik here. While I am not a big user of MySQL I also saw the email where they basically said "go away" to all of the MySQL users. I have personally witnessed their customer service and uptime steadily go downhill over the past year. I can also concur about their forums where all negative posts are deleted and all mentions of the serious outage they had have been deleted as well. No one posts there anymore. Currently, I have a VPS with them that has been down for 2

Re: upgrading the club site to .net 3.5 in VS2008
Do not upgrade it to 3.5. I have done it and it caused issues.

Re: Examples of Club Site being used.
The CodePlex version should work for you - it includes forum and blog sections and as long as you are comfortable with changing some .css settings you should be able to modify it to your own look and feel. Getting the database setup will take a bit of effort if you are not familiar with it but there are a number of references out there to get you started. Also, if this is going to be hosted be sure to look around and find a host that is easily compatible with the club starter kit. Best of luck

Re: Club Starter Kits
Agreed - Do not upgrade the starter kit to .net 3.5 or the club starterkit will not work.

Re: ERROR !!!!!
Version 655 is SQL Server 2008 and Version 612 is SQL Server 2005. It sound like you are using SQL Server 2008 on your own machine? You could either install SQL 2008 on the new machine or do a backup and restore of your database with compatibility for SQL 2005.

Programatically Creating user.website.com types of domains
There are a number of websites out there that when a user signs up a subdomain is created using their user name as the subdomain name (e.g. user.website.com) Can someone give me some info as to how this is accomplished? Thank you in advance.

Re: Help?
You will have to get the actual server information from GoDaddy (should be in your hosting control panel) but it takes that form of either the domain name or IP address of the GoDaddy SQL Server. For example Server=whsql-v04.prod.mesa1.secureserver.net (but this needs to be replaced with the actual server name from GoDaddy.
