SSL and domains.
Hi everyone, easy one here. We're setting up an exchange server and a new webserver. We need to get an ssl cert for the exchange site, and probably want to use the domain mail.websitename.org for the mail. Can we have that on one server and websitename.org on another server? We'd rather let the exchange server just do the exchange. We'll be using IIS 7. Also, does anyone know if you can set up the exchange server to be something like websitename.org/mail so we only have to buy one certificate

Re: Simples! - Having a problem with adding a unique constraint to existing table colum
fair enough. I'll have to populate, then set the constraint. Thanks for the input guys. PS nice hat naom :)

Re: Simples! - Having a problem with adding a unique constraint to existing table colum
Hmm. Totally contradicts this though: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa275848(SQL.80).aspx Quote: "(Use a unique constraint when)... You want to enforce uniqueness in a column that allows null values. You can attach unique constraints to columns that allow null values, whereas you can attach primary key constraints only to columns that do not allow null values. When you attach a unique constraint to a column allowing null values, you ensure that at most one row will have a null value

Simples! - Having a problem with adding a unique constraint to existing table colum
I know this is a basic SQL Server question, but this is my favourite forum :) I'm using SQL Server 2000 enterprise manager to create a unique constraint on a new column I've just added to an existing table. (PS I've done this before with no probs). The new column allows nulls, and I've not changed any data, so all the values are NULL (I've checked too, just in case). I've set the unique constraint in enterprise manager on the column, and I get this error: - Unable to create

Re: Is it possible / advisable to use LDAP / Active Directory authentication for a web app server over the internet?
Thanks for that. I wonder how easy it will be to integrate that with a current web app using standard forms auth? I found this link too: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms180890(VS.80).aspx The one you posted looks very useful, I'll have a step through it. Thanks!

Is it possible / advisable to use LDAP / Active Directory authentication for a web app server over the internet?
The subject says it all really. I want my active directory users to be able to authenticate to my web application over the internet. Is this possible (sure it is), how would I go about doing it (windows auth in local environeent is fine, I'm a reasonalbly experienced .net developer - just with internal apps or having different user accounts using web forms auth), step by step if possible or a massive push in the right direction would be great, thanks Finally, is it a good idea? We'd be looking

Re: CreateUserWizard1.DisableCreatedUser
I'd personally add another custom step to the wizard, and then you'll create a method for wizard1_createduser rather than creating.

Re: Absolute Positioning in Content Placeholder
Bear in mind that people have different size browsers and monitor resolutions, and using absolute positioning isn't always a good idea (in my opinion, unless you've got elements absolutely positioned inside something relatively positioned, like for a drop-down or pop-out menu or something). Relative or flexible layouts are general more usable. IMO
