Check the query string collection and if it is not available use Response.Redirect or Server.Transfer to direct to same url with a query string appended to the url

Re: run a method everyday
Create a table in database with single column for timestamp. On the application load check for the timestamp with current date and if it is not same run the method and update the timestamp in db. hope this will work out.

If u r using Request.QueryString, there should be values in url e.g http://www.example.com?userid=name&pwd=pwd then u can use to get the value from the querystring Request.QueryString["userid"] will give the value name

Check whether the SQL Server allows remote connections. Try connecting to the sql server from the application installed machine. Hope this would helps.
