• Re: Started getting a "Unable to establish secure connection with the server" error

  Am having the exact same problem. Have not changed anything. I definitely have a connection open to the AD server, I can log in remotely using the same passwords and can even log in using the AD server from another project. For some reason it just won't connect today. I rebooted my computer but had no luck. Very strange.

  Just for anyone else that has had similar problems trying to use OU (Organisation Unit) instead of the default CN (Container), remember the LDAP connection string needs to be in order, from lowest hierarchy up E.g. if the projects users are stored in an OU called Users which is in another OU called Org1 which is on the domain 'testdomain' LDAP string must be LDAP://testdomain.local/OU=Users,OU=Org1,DC=testdomain,DC=local Was having a similar problem last friday, which gave me a few more grey

  Thanks so much for this thread, it really helped me so much. Also thanks to you Dan Ludwig as your hint to use the application_preRequestHandler was what I was looking for. I wanted to change the language depending on a users role. I work with other developers on the same project so I did not want to have to change every page to inherit from a basepage class. So the Application_PreRequestHandlerExecute( object sender, EventArgs e) function on the global.asax page really helped.. Incase anyone is

  Just to let u know, was having the same problem, tried everything, nothing worked until I put roles=* in the first siteMapNode <siteMapNode roles="*"> also changed the first letter of securityTrimmingEnabled="true" to a capital S but that gave me an error, so no need to change it.

  Hi, I also could not get session to work with Application_PreRequestHandlerExecute in ASP.NET 2.0.
