Connections problem
hello. Bascially im moving a dedicated server over - annoying to say the least. Anyway, ive managed to attach a databse in SQL - but im getting a rather weird run out. I have my web.config the same as the last server (which worked fine) so this really rather has me stumped......any ideas here, would appreciate it. I think perhaps its just the server issue here, and nothing i can do about it....when ive connected to the SQL Server Management Studio Express, i had to use the "EXPRESS" version

Attaching a database from a dedicated server....problem!
Hello, we are exporting some of our sites to a new dedicated server. As you can see from the pics, having a bit of trouble with our SQL database. Bascially i have copied the 2 files we need (files mdf and ldf) to the needed folder. We have installed SQL Server Management Studio Express and are using Remote Desktop Connection to transfer and connect to our new server. But as you can see......they just wont connect properly. Im a little stumped tbh - any ideas why this will not work? thx for any ideas

Re: Attaching a database from a dedicated server....problem!
thx, ive never tried to backup/restore in this sytem. Ive managed to backup a "bak" - but slightly unsure on how i can then attach this to the server, and reopen as a database? thx there.

Create Data-Driven Web Sites - are there any other tutorials?
Ive followed this excellent tutorial of http://www.asp.net/learn/3.5-videos/video-49.aspx several times, and its been very useful indeed. But im curious, are there any other types of data-driven tutorials out there, slightly different away from the above link? Thing is, i cant keep using that every website i use.....ive searched thro asp.net but thats the only similar type i can quite find myself. If anyone has found a similar type of database driven tutorial, i would really appreciate, thanks!

Runtime Error?
Hello, im a little stuck. We have a website that works fine, but we needed to add another table format. Very simple really, and weve created another table format. We have now uploaded the new files of the SQL database - all seemd to work fine. Now uploaded the new files - and the new page now has a runtime error - Server Error in '/' Application. Runtime Error Description: An application error occurred on the server. The current custom error settings for this application prevent the details

Re: Error message on the server, any ideas?
Thx, im not absolutey sure - but ive logged on in "Remote Desktop Connection", then "IIS Manager"; then i selected the domain im using (we have several) then i pressed on "Properties"; ASP.NET folder says that we are using 2.0.50727. So it looks like we should do an update. I have not installed programs like that on a dedicated server before. Could anyone just give me a link so i can download the latest version? cheers guys, very helpful.
