  Yeh as it turns out it was permissions... I tried adding the IUSR role, and it didnt seem to help. What did work though, was adding the "Authenticated Users" group with read/execute permissions. Cheers, Stephen

  I'm having a weird issue here. Anonymous authentication does not seem to work when I deploy an app to IIS7 (On my local dev pc, Vista x64). I can reproduce the exact issue by doing the following: Open VS2008, create new project, MVC Web application (MVC v1 RC2) Hit F5 to run, enable debugging - perfect. Site works fine using the built in asp.net dev server Open IIS7 manager Go to default site, add new application Give it an alias, set physical path to the path of my MVC application on disk Modify

I am trying to sign and encrypt data using X509 Certs in .Net 2.0 and send the info to a Java webservice.   Hi, I've noticed that a Win2000 web server i've been maintaining has just started up with this same issue. The log is basically full up, but i can see that its been occuring since at least 03/July/2007. Interestingly, on 01/July/2007, there were a few windows updates installed. could this have anything to do with the issue? One of my main concerns is that it seems to also be causing the ASP .Net worker process to recycle quite often. This is a problem because it is a production box running
