The application failed to initialize (oxc0000142)
i created a web app. in asp.net 2.0 and OS is windows XP. when i executing a code Process.Start() to run an exe file, this exe file is in a remote machine, and i configured to access this exe (using impersonation or ....); but problem is in debug mode it working properly; but when i open the site in browser this giving error " The application failed to initialize (oxc0000142). Press OK to terminate". Can anybody help, please. It the exe in web server, no error; working properly.

Reset Password in asp.net 2.0
i created an app. in asp.net 2.0, i am using forms authentication. there are different types of users like "admin", "manager", "user", etc...there is an option to reset password (using built-in control) when a user forgot his password or when admin like to reset password of a particular user. i configured web.config in such a way that, when we try to reset password, it first ask username; after that question and we should give answer. my requirement is: when admin try to reset password, dont ask

thanks, working. i also tested in another way, pl. let me know whether it is against security or not. 1. created a new user in Server2, say "testUser" 2. gave full access permission to a folder, say "sharedFolder" to "testUser" 3. i ran app. from Server1, logged in as say "user1" 4. while creating output file in Server1, i impersonate and after doing the process, coming back to "user1" regards, manu

i tested as given below, but failed. i created a new user "testuser" in server2, and set permission to this user for the folder (full access). and i run my appl. in server1 with "testuser" as login name, pl. tell me whether the steps are correct or not?

Access denied error
hi, I hosted asp.net 2.0 application in Windows XP system, say System1. I configured IIS for Anonymous authentication and set the ASP.NET authentication mode to Forms. I have one more system, say System2. My requirement is: I am running my app. from System1, and on click of a button, i am trying to save a file (create a file) in System2; but i am getting access denied error. can anybody help me how to solve it. like how to set permission, permission to which account, how...? regards
