  I have the same problem, the menu code never finds any of the items as selected. You can debug by build the code into a DLL, put it in the app_bin folder, modify the browser file as: <adapter controlType="System.Web.UI.WebControls.Menu" adapterType="CSSFriendly.MenuAdapter, CssAdapters"/> where: adapterType = Namespace.Classname, AssemblyName Good luck
