Re: using SMTP localhost in the webconfig is it possibale to hide our outgoing email address and change it so that a message appears to have been sent from our members email address rather then what is in our webconfig?
Hi there Thanks for that, which Iam aware, however its not what Iam after, I dont need to specify the senders email address as smtp local host is already doing that. Our .net guy has created the forms which sends the profile to the receipent plus the members own email address. We need to know if there is some code which can be added which will hide/ mask our email address so that when they click on reply it shows there email address. The easy way would be to send the profile to the users own email

The members profile is sent via the webconfig file (code below). < mailSettings > < smtp from= "support@ourdomain.co.uk" > < network host= "localhost" /> <

Re: vwd express 2008 markup error in Master Page - worked fine in VWD express 2008 Beta -
Hi there thanks for your prompt reply however I beleive I have sorted it out. Having gone through my code I noticed the aspx pages causing the problems had a link to the stylesheet theme in the top code. <%@ Page Language="VB" MasterPageFile="~/MasterPage.master" AutoEventWireup="false" CodeFile="login.aspx.vb" Inherits="login" title="Login" StyleSheetTheme="YellowShades" %> The Master Page also links to these so I am guessing

vwd express 2008 markup error in Master Page - worked fine in VWD express 2008 Beta -
Hi I was running the VWD 2008 Express version beta and everything worked as I needed it to..Apart from the registration process. I found on a forum it was an error with the program. (I downloaded it then burnt it to a disc) one of the two options. It turns out the way round it is to uninstall the whole package and do a download installation of the latest release. This has resolved the registration issue however every page I open now shows a "Page contains markup that is not valid when attached

Problems with grid view data selection and displaying info in a differnt page
I have a grid view which displays basic job posting info which has been added / edited by one person who is in a role. When the user who created the posting clicks on the select link, it displays more information in a new page. I can get it to work fine whereby anyone not registered can view listings without the select option available. However the only user that I can get to view the postings is the person who created them. I dont want any other users to be able to create jobs which is fine. However

Re: Membership Role Assignment through CreateUserWizard
This thread has gone on now for some time. Finally I have sorted out the problem. Just for anyone interested. The code I used in the aspx.vb is as follows: Whereby "role" is the role name Protected Sub CreateWizard1_OnUserCrated( ByVal sender As Object , ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles CreateUserWizard1.CreatedUser Dim userInfo As MembershipUser = Membership.GetUser(CreateUserWizard1.UserName) userInfo.IsApproved = True Membership.UpdateUser(userInfo) Roles.AddUserToRole(CreateUserWizard1.UserName
