  • Re: error: enableEventValidation="true"/

I was using the ATLAS cascading comboboxes on a page. I wired them up to services to do AJAX calls to populate the boxes correctly. I was so proud. Then I tried to submit the page. It blew up on me with the following error: Invalid postback or callback argument. Event validation is enabled using <pages enableEventValidation="true"/> in configuration or <%@ Page EnableEventValidation="true" %> in a page. For security purposes, this feature verifies that arguments to postback or callback

  • Unable to cast object of type 'ProfileCommon' to type 'ProfileCommon'

I was getting this error out of nowhere. I had just uploaded my latest files to my remote server. When I ran locally again a few minutes later, I was suddenly getting the error: Unable to cast object of type 'ProfileCommon' to type 'ProfileCommon' I searched all over and could not find a fix. The error was coming from a line where I was trying to read a custom property off of the profile object. I went into the web.config file and changed: < profile enabled = " true " > to < profile enabled
