• Image path reference

  Hi, I am creating my first few websites (ex: www.acbd.com ) ( asp.net ) and need to know if I refer to images as http://www.abcd.com/images/health/abcd.jpg in my code behind and my site name is www.abcd.com , will that be an overhead to pick the image . Does the application has to resolve dns entry each time to pick an image (the images are stored under images/health folder of the application but we are referencing the image with the http:// path. Secondly my asp,net application uses .js files heavily

  Hi, I need some help urgently on this. I am trying to include <%# Container.DataItem == "live" %> within <% if %> on aspx page i:e <% if ( %> <%# Container.DataItem == "live" %> <% ) { %> //then do something <% } % > but the line with if and <%# Container -- is giving error. Could you please help with how do I write it. Please help

  Thanks for your reply. But I donot want the user to click on an anchor to reach a particular locationId. I need that each time a page load happens (due to post back etc) the user is automatically set to a particular locationID (passed as query string or a hidden field value). Though I can identify each locations using <a name="somelocationID"> Help please on this.

• jumping to a particular section of aspx page

  Hi, How can I jump to a particular location identified by locationID on aspx page on page load For ex: I am passing locationID as querystring when calling a page or when postback happens for that page When that aspx page loads I want that It should jump to a particular location on aspx page identifed by location ID in query string (even if its a postback ) What code do I need to write? Can I write the code in page_load event OR I need to write javascript code?

• refering to controls in usercontrol from container

  how can I refer to control inside a usercontrol from a container. For ex: I have a textbox inside login control and the login control is placed on aspx page. What are the various ways to refer to this textbox from code behind of aspx page. thanks

  Could some one please let me know why sometimes we use // and sometimes / in path. for example : "//bookimages//library//book1//" and "/bookimage/library/book1/" Is it because we are using one extra "/" as an escape character. but then how come the second one works?
