Re: MakePathDomainControllerSpecific error
<organization>LDAP://CN=oddb@testorg.no,OU=testorg,OU=ConsolidatedMessenger,OU=Hosting,DC=hosting,DC=pcsupport,DC=no</organization> Is a user in your case, so no wonder it's not working. This needs to be an organization LDAP path...so try: <organization>LDAP://OU=testorg,OU=ConsolidatedMessenger,OU=Hosting,DC=hosting,DC=pcsupport,DC=no</organization> Steve

Re: can MPS be installed on Windows Server 2008?
I was thinking the same thing today, so while here at Tech-Ed 2007 I attented a talk on Svr 2008 AD, and asked the speaker afterwards some questions. The AD schema and properties should be identical to Win Svr 2003, so that should not be an issue, same with permissions etc. Uses directory services in C# should still work, which is what the MPS AD provider uses. So,off the top of my head I would say in theory it's perfectly possible, but MPS is a funny old beast and it's soooo easy to trash

Re: This user does not have a Mailbox Plan when I delected the plan on SQL
Yes, MS does not have any API to remove mailplans once in the DB. It's not an easy task. What you SHOULD have done was set it's status to DE (Deleted) and NOT to delete the entire record(s). "we should go to the SQL database and manually delete the plan" no, no, no. never. Manually playing with the HMC db WILL result in major issues unless you know 110% what you're doing, as you have found out the hard way. Did you make a backup of the DB before you toasted it? You will need

Re: This user does not have a Mailbox Plan when I delected the plan on SQL
Hi, "I haven't change the use mailbox first on MPS" not sure what you mean by this? Deleting anything manually from the HECustomerDB (HMC 3.5) or PlanManagerDB (HMC 4) is a big no no and can trash the DB. Why did you manually delete it, and what exactly did you delete, what tables were affected? If the user doesn't have a mailbox already you need to call the CreateMailbox procedure, and not the change procedure. Steve

Re: The resource cannot be found??? please give a bit detail...
You need to follow the instructions in the error msg. Setting customErrors="off" will allow you to see full .NET traces remotes, which will help you identify your errors quicker. Steve

Re: HMC 4.0 sample CP
You cannot do this without the WebServiceProxy source code I am afraid. I'll see if I can find you somewhere to download it from. Cheers, Steve

Re: HMC 4.0 sample CP
I think MS developers have tried to be to clever for their own good. This WebServiveGeneral in fact calls a web service based on the serviceNamespace param passed tot he Submit function. These web services must be added to the WebServiceProxy project. You need to add a reference to your own web service to the MPSSampleWebUI.WebServiceProxy project. You alos need to add a string const in MPSSampleWebUI.CommonType.ServiceModuleConstants that has the namespace for the new web reference you added in

Re: Error in my code
What line is raising this error? Would I be correct in assuming the last one where you call Submit? WebServiceGeneral...is this something that you wrote yourself? What is the exact error your are getting? Steve
