Re: Standardizing the DAL and BAL
I know this thread is older, but I came across it today while scrolling through the forums. I completely agree with the architecture mentioned above, but I have had great success using the Model-View-Presenter (or MVC) pattern in my websites/applications. The idea behind is that you push as many implementation details out of your Web project (the one with all the .aspx pages) and include them in a separate class project (layer). This is done so you can use some of those Test-Driven development frameworks

Re: HoverMenuExtender in ModalPopupExtender - Z-index issue?
I completely agree with Louis. However, it would also help to know the version of browser you are testing against (ie: IE 6.x, Firefox, IE 7). I know that in some cases, there was an issue with z-index and absolute positioned items in IE 6.x. There are some ways around said issue, but they should only be used if the behavior is correct in IE 7 and Firefox. Let me know and I'm happy to help further. Thanks, Greg

Re: CalendarExtender - 3 Character Month throws exception.
Hi there, If you go here: http://www.codeplex.com/AtlasControlToolkit, there is a link on the upper right corner to download the latest and greatest version of the toolkit. The three character month issue has been resolved for quite some time (since at least Feb 07), so please let us know if you still experience the issue after you have setup the latest and greatest. There may be a tag that is not formatted properly. Thanks! Greg

MaskedEditExtender doesn't allow only "0" (zero)
If anyone has input, I would greatly appreciate it. It appears that the MaskedEditExtender will clear the input from a textbox if the user ONLY enters a "0" (zero). It appears to clear out the field entirely - leaving an empty string in its place. While this doesn't cause an exception anywhere, it isn't quite intuitive as a number greater than zero will not always be entered by the user. After looking through the AJAXControlToolkit javascript, it appears that the following snippet causes this to

Re: FireFox update 2.0.0.2 breaks some scenarios in ASP.NET AJAX apps
Confirmed that the release of FF v 1.5.0.11 fixes the issue. My thanks for the efforts of everyone on both sides. You have my gratitude. Thanks Again, Greg

Re: FireFox update 2.0.0.2 breaks some scenarios in ASP.NET AJAX apps
Hi Mozilla Marcia, Thank you for the communication. Is there going to be an update to Firefox version 1.5.0.10 to address the same issue? Thanks, Greg

Re: FireFox update 2.0.0.2 breaks some scenarios in ASP.NET AJAX apps
This sounds promising. How does this interaction work with ASP.net AJAX? Are there any conflicts in using both libraries? I am about 95% done with development on my application, which relies heavily on the MS AJAX framework. I would hate to bring in a new component and have it break everything else. :o) Thanks, Greg

Re: FireFox update 2.0.0.2 breaks some scenarios in ASP.NET AJAX apps
Bump. :o) Any update to speak of? I'd really hate to put in a work-around (ie: the window.setTimeout(......)), but I'd like to have a clearer understanding of the timelines regarding the resolution of this issue. Can anyone please provide an update? Thanks, Greg

Re: ModalPopup Postback issues in Firefox 2.0.0.1
Hi All - If anyone wants a solution, this will work. For the HTML posted previously: < form id= "form1" runat= "server" > < asp:ScriptManager ID= "ScriptManager1" runat= "server" /> < asp:UpdatePanel ID= "ModalUpdate" runat= "server" UpdateMode= "Always" > < ContentTemplate > < asp:Button ID= "ModalButton" runat= "server" Text= "Click Me" OnClick= "ModalButton_Click" /> < asp:LinkButton id= "FakeControl" runat= "server" /> < asp:Panel ID= "ModalPanel" runat
