• Serialize & Deserialize Error Object

  Hi All! Actually i wan't to create a generalized error handling technique. What i'm looking at is in a catch block i pass the ex object to a function and that funtion Serializes the object to a file on the server or to sql server. First of all is that possible? Is Exception class <Serializable>? Secondly when it is serialized, I wan't it to be accessible from a web form. So that the programmer can go to the page and see all the properties like error message and stacktrace etc. of

• Adding Run Cassini option to right-click menu of folder on my PC.

  I think ViewState be used to store the previous value of your controls and on postback you can compare the old values of your controls with new values and set the value of IsChanged property accordingly.

  I think something is going wrong here. r["Course"].ToString() "Course" is case sensitive. So cross check it with what your stored procedure returns. Other wise i'm online on Yahoo at amazingperson2. You can catch me there.

  Thanks to everyone who tried to help me on this problem. Actually the column value i want to is ID for the row and i don't want to display that to the user. Actually i can't understand if i can't retrieve the Data associated to that row, then what is the user for DataItem property?
